Knee sprain sidelines Rangers' Rucinsky 2-4 weeks

NEW YORK -- New York Rangers left wing Martin Rucinsky, who has gotten off to a solid start, will miss two to four weeks with sprained MCL in his left knee.

Rangers president-general manager Glen Sather made the announcement.

Rucinsky suffered the injury in the third period of Saturday's 5-2 victory at Montreal when he was hit by defenseman Craig Rivet. He scored the game-winning goal in that contest.

Signed to a one-year, $3 million contract in the offseason, Rucinsky is second on the Rangers with 14 points. The veteran has collected six goals and eight assists in 12 games.
