TRASHed Recycling Comes to Aspen for Winter X 10

We've all seen itriding up the quad, chit-chatting up the bros or some Texan, trees and grouse whizzing by in the peripherals, when BAMall senses are interrupted, and serendipity comes to a tire-melting halt. You see that your pristine wilderness has been violated. Directly below you, a flourescent half-drank bottle of Mountain Dewdie sits, vindictively-perched, waiting to flatspot somebody's face.
Just as you're about to jump ship to rescue the snow, a passer-by passes by to save the day. She picks up the bottle, throws you a shakka, and you return to the back of your seat, subdued. Phew. Another day added on the life of Mama E.
At this year's Winter X, instead of loading up the shopping cart and bringing it down to the dime-spitting machine, you can bring your cans and bottles to the TRASHed Recycling Store in the X Games Environmentality Booth for your chance to take home a new snowboard and warm fuzzies like a high-five and other, material freebies. The booth will be located in X Fest at the base of Buttermilk Mountain.
TRASHed is a non-profit organization that seeks to raise awareness of the problem of excess waste by showing how simple it is to recycle. In addition to swapping garbage for gear, TRASHed collaborates with artists, action sports athletes, and celebrities to design and display original artwork on recycle bins at events nation-wide.
