NEW YORK -- The New York Mets and top draft pick Mike
Pelfrey finalized a $5.25 million, four-year contract on Tuesday
after the pitcher passed a physical.
The 6-foot-7 right-hander was 12-3 with a 1.93 ERA in 19 games

His contract includes a $3.5 million signing bonus. It also
includes provisions for higher salaries if he is on the major
league roster during the regular season.
