Hewitt announced on Sept. 22 that Morrow, the ACC's leading 3-point shooter in 2005-06, would miss six-to-eight weeks because of a stress fracture in his back.
"It feels great right now," Morrow said. "I want to play right now. But I know I have to be patient and take care of my body."
The Yellow Jackets open the season Nov. 10 against Elon and play Purdue 10 days later in the Maui Invitational in Hawaii.
"Anthony's feeling much better," Hewitt said. "He's drinking four glasses of milk a day and taking calcium pills."
