Stars center Ott out two months with fractured ankle

Associated Press

DALLAS -- Dallas Stars center Steve Ott has a fractured ankle and will miss the next two months. He is scheduled to have surgery Monday.

"Steve will be sorely missed because he has done a good job at the little things," Dallas coach Dave Tippett said. "It's tough to see that happen to him."

Ott got into a fight with Los Angeles right wing Tom Kostopoulos midway through the second period. It appeared Ott fell awkardly after he was hit by Kostopoulos.

The 25-year-old Ott has three assists in 11 games this season.
