Redskins RB Portis leaves game with hand injury
Associated Press
PHILADELPHIA -- Washington Redskins running back Clinton
Portis broke his right hand in the first half of Sunday's game
against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Portis, who rushed for 25 yards on six carries, left late in the
first quarter of Philadelphia's 27-3 victory over Washington and
did not return. Portis entered with 498 yards rushing and seven
touchdowns in seven games.
"I haven't talked to him yet, but it's something that might
have to have some screws," coach Joe Gibbs said.
Portis partially dislocated his left shoulder in the preseason
opener and has been bothered by other nagging injuries this season.
