Williams to replace Harris in Pro Bowl
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle Pat Williams was named on Friday as an injury replacement for next month's Pro Bowl.
Williams will fill in for Tommie Harris of the Chicago Bears. This is the first Pro Bowl selection for Williams in his 10-year career. Helping Minnesota finish first in the league in rushing defense, Williams had 59 tackles, 11 for loss, 14 quarterback hurries and five passes defensed.
Williams will join three teammates -- center Matt Birk, guard Steve Hutchinson and defensive tackle Kevin Williams -- on the NFC team. The four selections is the most the Vikings have had since 2003.
The NFL's annual all-star game will be played Feb. 10 in Hawaii.
