All have had tremendous success with the Class of 2007, but with two days to go -- and a couple of key prospects still uncommitted -- we have to put Florida in the No. 1 spot, having ridden its national championship victory to a handful of important late additions to its class.
Within the last month, the Gators have secured verbal commitments from ESPN 150 prospects DE Carlos Dunlap (North Charleston, S.C./Fort Dorchester), DT John Brown (Lakeland, Fla.), S Major Wright (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas), OG James Wilson (St. Augustine, Fla./Nease) and DE Justin Trattou (Ramsey, N.J./Don Bosco). Florida heads into signing day with commitments from 12 players who rank in the ESPN 150 and 11 who rate in the top 10 at their positions.
