Brenda (Dallas): We all know you've got a strong leg, but what are the things you are working on as you look to make an NFL roster?
Mason Crosby: I'm always working on being consistent, having the same kick every time. Never changing what I do. I'm just working on being as accurate as I can be on field goals and on hang time and distance on kickoffs. Even when I'm kicking at my best, I know I can always kick better. I'm also working on onside kicks, as well. They are the biggest craft in kicking. It's something I want to get better at.
Ben (DM, Iowa): Historically kickers are the teams scapegoat. What do you say to people who tell you kickers aren't 'real' football players?
Mason Crosby: Is this my teammate, Ben Carpenter? I don't really try to make a big deal about that. I played all the positions in high school and I chose to kick, because it's what I'm best at. I don't really think about all that stuff. I do my job, and everyone else does their job. I'm there to score points. I usually lead the team in scoring and that's an important thing. I think when kickers don't come through and do their jobs, they're looked at as less than another guy. But I never felt ostracized from the team, though.
