The Quiznos Madfin Shark Series is the only catch and release shark fishing tournament ever aired on television. Now in its third year, the six episodes of the 2008 coverage is the most incredible yet. Seven two-man teams battle 5-foot and bigger sharks; catching them, measuring them at the boat, removing the hook, and releasing them alive for points. The lowest team will be eliminated after Day One, with two more leaving the competition after Day Two. Highest points on Day Three will yield the Champions. Helicopter cameras, underwater cameras, and cameras on every boat, make for the most exciting fishing event ever documented on television. In fact, the 2007 coverage earned two Telly awards; a silver in the nature/wildlife category and a bronze in the videography/cinematography category. Check out the press release for more details.
