Jennings to miss 2-3 starts with tendinitis in right elbow
HOUSTON -- Houston Astros right-hander Jason Jennings will
miss at least 2-3 starts with tendinitis in his right, throwing
elbow, the team announced.
Jennings, (0-1, 3.00 ERA) had an MRI in Houston on Saturday and
the exam revealed no ligament damage. The team said Jennings would
be placed on the disabled list within the next week.
The 28-year-old Jennings was acquired in an offseason trade with
Colorado to be the No. 2 starter in the Astros' rotation. He made
two starts this season before skipping his third, scheduled for
Saturday, when his elbow flared up in Philadelphia.
Jennings gave up a run on five hits with seven strikeouts, but
didn't get a decision in the Astros' 3-2 loss to Pittsburgh on
April 3. He gave up three runs on five hits with five strikeouts in
Houston's 10-1 loss to St. Louis on April 8.
