Hudson went 1-for-4 with a triple in the Diamondbacks' 9-6
victory over San Diego on Wednesday night, but he left the game
after seven innings. Arizona manager Bob Melvin said the injury
occurred on a slide into third base one night earlier.
Hudson will undergo an MRI on Thursday, an off day, and Melvin
said the club doesn't know when he may return. The Diamondbacks
open a three-game series against NL Central contender St. Louis on
Hudson has been one of Arizona's hotter hitters. Since Aug. 3,
he is batting .319 (38-for-119) with six doubles, four triples and
