The Historic Halls of The Dome are mini-museums highlighting the SEC football and basketball championships, as well as the Chick-fil-A Bowl and other regional sports. They are found near the entrance to Gate E, which also will be the location of a Falcons museum that is in the planning phase.

• Selected Atlanta-area restaurants and sports bars:
Steak:
Bone's
3130 Piedmont Road N.E. (Buckhead)
Atlanta, GA 30305
404-237-2663
Web site
Talk about a Sweet 16. Bone's has received the Best of Atlanta Steakhouse Award for 16 consecutive years. Zagat also gave Bone's the highest rating for food and service of any steakhouse in America. In addition to prime-aged beef and seafood, how about a mix of filet mignon, lamb and pheasant sausage?

Southern, regional:
Thelma's Kitchen and Rib Shack (Downtown)
302 Auburn Ave.
Atlanta, GA 30303
404-688-5855
Don't know about Louise, but Thelma's Kitchen serves up some of the best fried chicken in town, with emphasis on chicken, as in chunks of it. Try the cornbread. And for a real Southern meal, add in collard greens, black-eyed peas and okra. Most items are less than $10.

Sports bar:
American Pie (Sandy Springs)
5840 Roswell Road N.E.
Atlanta, GA 30328
404-255-7571

In addition to local fans, this is the spot for Ohio State Atlanta Alumni Group, as well as a favorite fan spot for the Saints and Browns. Expect loud music, cold beer and plenty of sports on TV.
