ACTIVATING / BENCHING DRIVER
You decide which drivers to start for each week of competition. The Team page allows you to analyze each of your current drivers, review their year-to-date and previous week's performance, and freely move drivers between your Active roster and Bench. Roster moves involving a driver may be made right up until that driver is scheduled to begin racing for the week (the waiving of the green flag).
When you make transactions during the week, you must move one active driver to the bench, or to waivers, when moving an inactive "benched" driver to the starting lineup. If you make a move that violates a roster slot, an error message will appear, notifying you to double-check the proposed transaction. You will need to ensure that you are moving drivers into available slots per your league settings.
ADDING / DROPPING DRIVERS
In Standard leagues (and most Custom leagues) there are going to be many unclaimed drivers available in the driver pool; this pool is called "Free Agents". You may want to pick up one of these Free Agents (drivers not currently on a team in your league) for your elite team. You can search the driver pool by going to the Drivers page.
NOTE: If you wish to claim a driver from free agency, you must have an open roster slot or drop one of your current drivers in exchange.FREE AGENCY AND CLAIM STATUS
So when are unclaimed drivers locked? Each week, drivers may NOT be added or dropped on a team's roster or traded, from race time until Tuesday. Starting every Tuesday, the waiver period within your league (if you have one) will then begin and all drivers are available to be moved, claimed etc. Please see the Waivers Rules for both Custom and Standard leagues to determine the schedule applicable to your league.
The team owner with the better waiver priority that puts a claim on a driver will receive the driver when waivers clear. For example, if two or more owners put in claims for Tony Raines, the claim with the best waiver priority is awarded Tony Raines.
NOTE: Waiver Priority is in numeric order; i.e. a team owner with waiver priority 1 gets precedence over a team owner with a waiver priority of 6. All available drivers not on waivers are considered free agents.
To help prevent the issue of "cycling" drivers through free agency, a driver that is added and released on the same day will remain a free agent. Intentional cycling of drivers through waivers is a serious offense and may result in a team being banned in Fantasy Stock Car.
To learn more about the waivers process in your league, review your League Settings on the League Office page.
Released drivers reside on waivers for at least 48 hours before clearing waivers. At the clearance time, the driver is assigned to either a team (if a claim was made) or the free-agent pool (if no claim was made). Unclaimed drivers not acquired during the waiver period become free agents and may be picked up on a first-come, first-serve basis without affecting a team's waiver position.
If multiple claims are submitted for a particular driver, the claim is resolved based on the waiver position of each involved team. A team's waiver position is the relative power you have when selecting a driver off of the waiver wire. When more than one team requests a driver in waivers, the driver is awarded to the team with the better waiver position (closer to 1).
When a claim is resolved, the waiver position for the team that receives the driver is changed to the lowest possible priority (6), and all the other teams move up a position.
As each week of fantasy play concludes, your team's waiver position in Standard leagues is reconfigured according to your team's position in the standings. The worst team in the league's standings receives the best waiver position (No. 1) and the top team receives the worst waiver position (No. 6). Hopefully you will always be last in waiver order!
NOTE: For Head-to-Head leagues, in the event of a tie (identical won-lost records) the team with the fewest fantasy points is given the better position (closer to No. 1). In the event that two or more teams have identical records and fantasy points, "Points-Against" is used as the next tie-breaker. The teams with the least "Points-Against" total gets the better waiver position. If none of these tie-breakers break the tie, a random drawing by the FSR08 system will be made to determine which team receives the better waiver position.
Waiver claims can be made at any time before the driver clears waivers. Any driver who is dropped within 48 hours of race time is not available to be added to a team roster, and will appear on waivers during the initial waiver run on the following Tuesday.
Waivers process daily beginning at 3 a.m. ET, except for Monday and Tuesday, when waivers are not processed.
NOTE: Due to the high volume of waiver claims at certain times of the season, it may take several hours for all waivers in all leagues to process.
NOTE: In the event that there is an official scoring change (affecting the outcome of a race) made after the initial weekly run of waivers on Wednesday, waiver positions and claims will not be retroactively changed.
FREE AGENT / WAIVER ACQUISITIONS LIMIT
The League Manager has the option of choosing the number of driver acquisitions that a team is allowed through free agency or waivers during the season. This setting can be changed by the League Manager at any time during the season.
If a driver is dropped during the week (i.e. on Thursday afternoon), the driver will be listed on waivers for the set length of total days set per your league rules. For example, suppose your waiver period is set for "1 Day". This means the waiver will process at the next waiver processing period that is at least a full 24 hours (1 day) later. So, if you drop a driver at 8:00 pm ET on Thursday, your waiver will run on or about 3:00 am ET Saturday morning - the next scheduled running of waivers that is at least 24 hours past the time the driver was dropped. This setting can be changed by the League Manager at any time during the season.
WAIVER SYSTEM (In-season)
The waiver order during the season determines who has the first chance to claim a driver on waivers. View your League Settings page to see how your league's waiver rules are configured. This setting can be changed by the League Manager at any time during the season.
WAIVER ORDER ADJUSTMENT
The League Manager has the ability to manually adjust the waiver order for at anytime during the season by going to "LM Tools" and clicking on "Edit Waiver Order".
