ARCADIA, Calif. -- There is a two-day pick six carryover of $392,053 for Friday's eight-race program at Santa Anita.
Friday's pick six covers the third through eighth races, races that are dominated by short fields. First post time is 1 p.m. Pacific.
The largest fields are the third and seventh races, which have drawn 10 entrants. The third race, a $28,000 to $32,000 claimer, is run over about 6 1/2 furlongs on the hillside turf course and is the lone turf race on Friday. Sunday Dress is the 9-5 morning-line favorite.
The fourth, fifth and sixth races have smaller fields.
There are seven starters in the fourth race, a maiden claimer for 3-year-olds.
The fifth race, run over a mile for 4-year-old claimers, drew only six entrants, while the sixth race, a mile race for maiden claimers, has eight starters.
The seventh race is an optional claimer over 1 1/16 miles for 3-year-olds. The impressive maiden winner On the Virg faces Winsome Charm, Cardinal Zin and Afleet Ruler, who have placed in sprint stakes.
The final race, a maiden claimer over a mile, drew just nine entrants. Cadeaux du Monde is 6-5 on the morning line, the shortest price in the pick six races.
