Dominik Hasek announced his retirement Monday, just days after winning his second Stanley Cup with the Detroit Red Wings.

He won six Vezina Trophies, had a lower NHL regular-season goals-against average than the other goaltending greats and is the only netminder to win back-to-back Hart Trophies as league MVP.
