Former Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chris Henry will face a retrial in Hamilton County (Ohio) court next week for an assault charge after allegedly punching an 18-year-old in the face last March.

Henry's second trial begins on July 14, his agent Marvin Frazier said Tuesday. His first trial resulted in a hung jury on July 1 when jurors were unable to reach an agreement on the assault charge. A second charge of criminal damaging was dismissed during the trial.

The incident led to Henry's fifth arrest in three years and resulted in his release from the Bengals and an indefinite suspension by the NFL. If Henry is found not guilty, the suspension likely will be lifted and allow Henry to seek employment with another team in 2008.

Henry was a productive player when on the field for Cincinnati. The former third-round pick recorded 88 receptions for 1,370 yards and 17 touchdowns as the third receiver behind starters Chad Johnson and T.J. Houshmandzadeh.

Last season Henry played in eight games and had 21 receptions for 343 yards and two touchdowns.
