Badminton, Beer, Babes and Bon Jovi

By Chris Tedesco

There's been a lot going in the world of FMX lately. With all the overseas events, Dew Tour, and the pinnacle of them all, X Games, it's hard to find time to relax and unwind. Fortunately, the new Dew Tour schedule gave the FMX riders a month break after X Games. It didn't take much for Mike Mason to convince me to buy a plane ticket to Reno to hang out and party for a week. Within the past two days, I've experienced a dance party in Mason's guest house and played in an 80's badminton tournament at Adam Jones's crib. Join me as I give you a behind the scenes look into how the NV/HC! gets down.

Nothing like kicking off a trip to the NV/HC! with a good old fashioned dance party. Lots of stretching was done prior to this photo—you don't want to pull a hammy!

I think these guys might need a new drink sponsor.

This is by far the coolest counter top in the world!

Mason is known for his amazing BBQ skills. Don't believe me? Just look at how excited Brian Foster is to get his hands on a hot juicy burger.

First you take the graham. You stick the chocolate on the graham. Then, you roast the mallow...

Aside from winning X Games medals, the NV/HC! crew finally finished their time machine they've been working on. Set the date to 1985 Doc!

Adam Jones took some time away from the party to fine tune his pool skills. By the time 2008 rolls around, you'lll see him ruling the WPBA tour on ESPN.

Jones, Foster, and Mason could have been supermodels in 1988—too bad it is 2008.

"When I'm done training this hooligan, he will never want to pick up a beer again!"

80's chicks rule.

After seeing this photo, Team USA contacted Adam Jones to try out for the 2012 Olympic Team. He is flying to a top secret training facility on Friday.

Jorge Alvarez and Steve Densmore nearly beat me up after taking this photo. They don't take spying on their badminton team meetings very lightly.

Meet the Jones's (Dara left, Adam right). They sure know how to throw one hell of a party!

Don't let the 80's theme fool you, this is what we wear everyday. Not only do these clothes look outstanding, they are extremely comfortable.
