Palmer listed as 'questionable,' intends to play vs. Browns
By James Walker
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer was added to the injury report Friday as questionable with soreness in his right, throwing elbow. But Palmer doesn't intend to miss Sunday's home against the Cleveland Browns.
"It was just a rest day," Palmer told the Cincinnati Enquirer after practice Friday. "I'm completely confident in what we're doing. The doctors decided the best thing to do was to be rested and fully healthy for Sunday, and I'll be ready to roll on Sunday."
According to Bengals coach Marvin Lewis, Palmer's elbow has been sore since last weekend's 26-23 overtime loss to the New York Giants.
"Carson has told us he's going to be ready to play, but he developed some carry-over soreness from last week's game," said Lewis. "We are backing him off a little in practice today, so he has to be listed on the report."
Palmer had his best game of the season last weekend against the Giants, throwing for 286 yards and a touchdown. He has a 63.8 passer rating this season.
