PITTSBURGH -- Sidney Crosby participated in a morning skate and was set to play for the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday night against the St. Louis Blues, two days after the star forward left a game with an undisclosed injury.
Crosby left Thursday night's game against the Phoenix Coyotes early in the third period.
After the Penguins' 4-1 loss, Crosby said he had "some discomfort."
Crosby was the 2006-07 NHL scoring champion and MVP. He missed 28 games last season with a high ankle sprain.
