Even the worst weather in California (more specifically Long Beach) is like the sound equivalent of a librarian convention to a Heavy Metal parking lot. There is little comparison, when the northern United States is chattering away its teeth to below freezing weather. But, whether it's raining or snowing, you probably ain't skating, so the two don't have differ too much in that respect.
There's something about the greyness of clouds and the confinement of bad weather that lends itself to things like coffee, tea, the smell of spices and woodburning stoves.
Certain skate videos, like these things, also mix well with the days where you would rather sit inside than brave the sh*tty elements, because they just make you feel good about skating, even when you can't. Here are a few of my favorites:
Some of the best are English. Blueprint's Lost and Found is great for a rainy day.
Krooked's Gnar Gnar vid
Again, I said English vids are some of the best for rainy days. Landscape's old video Portraits
Any of the Static videos One, Two or Three.
Anything Alien Workshop, from Photosynthesis, Memory Screen, Timecode
Subzero Real Life
There are probably more, but those are some of my favorites.Joshua Brooks
