Kay Yow ranks sixth all-time in Division I women's basketball history with 737 career victories. Earlier this season, Yow's 34th at NC State, she coached her 1,000th game with the Wolfpack. Only Pat Summitt has coached at one school for a longer period of time (35 seasons at Tennessee).
From the integration of women's basketball into the ACC to the implementation of Title IX and to the inaugural women's NCAA tournament in 1982, Yow (737-344, .682 winning percentage) has been a fixture in the sport.
