ESPN will release the ESPN RISE FAB 50 national girls' soccer winter rankings each week of the regular season and playoffs, continuing through the final games of the various state playoffs around the nation.

In college football, the University of Texas band plays "The Eyes of Texas."

In high school soccer, all eyes will be on Texas - this week.

High school play for the UIL - the state's main governing body - begins, and the place to be is Fort Worth, Texas, where seven FAB 50 teams will be battling in the Red Bull/Nolan Showcase. A tournament title by Marcus, Plano West or Nolan Catholic would put that team in the thick of the national title chase.

There was a change at the top of the FAB 50 this week as former No. 1 Esperanza fell to San Clemente in the final of the Excalibur Tournament. Aliso Niguel, another Southern California program, inherits the top ranking.

Results through Jan. 4.
