TRE LYNCH

LANCASTER BOYS' BASKETBALL

The Tigers won the Chris Bosh South Dallas Shootout by beating Bosh's old high school, Lincoln, in the title game on Dec. 13. Lynch, a junior guard, dropped a game-high 24 points on Lincoln in the 67-63 overtime victory. In the semifinals on Dec. 12, Lynch scored 17 to help his team defeat Hillcrest, 53-41. And basketball isn't Lynch's only specialty. He finished fifth in the triple jump at last spring's Region II-4A track meet.

LONDON WOODBERRY

McKINNEY BOYS' SOCCER

Woodberry enters his senior season with the Lions as one of the area's elite players. The forward piled up 38 goals and seven assists last season to earn District 15-4A co-MVP honors and Dallas Morning News All-Area second team recognition. But Woodberry's biggest honor of the year came when he was named a 2008 NSCAA/adidas High School All-American. Woodberry has committed to the reigning national champion Maryland men's soccer team.
