Napoli agrees to $2 million contract with Angels

Associated Press

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Catcher Mike Napoli and the Los Angeles Angels avoided arbitration Monday, agreeing to a one-year contract worth $2 million.

Napoli hit .273 with 20 homers and 49 RBIs for the Angels last season.

Three Angels remain in arbitration: right-hander Ervin Santana, shortstop Maicer Izturis and third baseman Robb Quinlan. They are scheduled to exchange proposed salaries with the Angels on Tuesday.
