Kurt Warner spent Sunday night pondering whether to take a flight to San Francisco Monday morning, a source said. It's a visit that he never anticipated a week ago when he was in negotiations with the Cardinals to stay in Arizona.

Warner arrived back in Phoenix Saturday night after spending a couple of day in Orlando, Fla., at Disney World. All signs point to him accepting the invitation to visit the 49ers, who have been trying to recruit him for the past couple of days. Still, he spent Sunday night trying to make a final decision.

Talks between the Cardinals and Warner have stalled for more than a week. According to multiple sources, the Cardinals' offer to keep him in Arizona is for two years and $20 million. He is hoping for a two-year deal worth between $28 million and $32 million with a possible third option year being added. Warner, who has said he'd retire if he didn't play for the Cardinals, has indicated that he wants to play for two more seasons if the money and situation are right.

There was no progress on Sunday night in his talks with the Cardinals, according to a source.
