The Garric Ray Gallery

Fascinated with skateboarding and photography since he was in 6th grade, it was only fitting that Garric Ray would pick up a camera when he blew his knee out his senior year of high school. But, it wasn't easy.

Growing up with poor parents, he had to work a bunch of odd jobs to save up money for equipment, but over the last two and a half years, working at Cal's Pharmacy in Portland, Oregon, which is linked with the indoor skate park, Department of Skateboarding , he was able to build a relationship with local and visiting skaters (click read more to link to his gallery).

He got to see Tyler Bledsoe grow up before his own eyes (from the bespeckled New Era kid to the Mindfield-established shralper) and captured skating in the Portland scene. He has had photos published in Thrasher, Transworld, The Skateboard Mag, Sidewalk, Concussion, Lowcard and Automatic and worked with Nike, Adidas, Dakine, Stereo and In4mation Clothing. You can feel the warm touch of Portland—the browns, greens and greys—in nearly all of his photos. To see his gallery, click here: The Garric Ray Gallery
