Munoz tests positive for second time

Associated Press

NEW YORK -- A minor leaguer in the Texas Rangers system was suspended 100 games for a second positive drug test and another player was banned 50 games for his first violation of baseball's minor league drug policy on Wednesday.

Twenty-one-year-old Miguel Munoz tested positive for a second time. He was suspended 50 games after testing positive for Mephenetermine on Sept. 17, 2008. Orlando Caraballo, 19, failed a test for the first time.

The Dominican-born pitchers are teammates on one of the Rangers' squads in the Dominican Summer League.

Both players tested positive for Boldenone.
