Skateboarding has always taken care of its own, but when Johnny Romano came around, there was something more unifying about it. For the 13th year (the second year since it was given Johnny's name), Southside Skatepark put on the Make-A-Wish event, now called the Johnny Romano Skate Jam, giving the people of Houston an amazing event with ripping skating and the ever-present spirit of Johnny Romano adding to the energy of the jam.
