PGA golfer Henry is one of TCU's biggest fans
TCU graduate and PGA Tour player J.J. Henry, who played in a Ryder Cup, travels to as many TCU games as he can. He was in Scottsdale, Ariz., a few weeks ago when the Frogs played BYU.
"I had an early tee time because they were going off both tees on Saturday and I thought I could make it," Henry said. "So I played my round, showered and raced to the airport."
Henry still had some time in a private jet, so he flew to Provo, Utah, and was on the sidelines 30 minutes before the game began. TCU won 38-7, and Henry flew back after the game.
"I shot 65 the next day," said Henry, who finished tied for 33rd. "It was certainly worth it."
Henry said he's attended the Clemson and San Diego State games on the road, along with several home games. He will be in Fort Worth for the Utah game.
"I can't wait," Henry said. "This whole season has been exciting."
