TCU 14, Utah 7 after 1st quarter

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Two long drives has TCU leading by seven at the end of the first quarter. And TCU is threatening to add to the lead at the beginning of the second quarter. TCU has it 3rd and 2 at the Utah 15 after the Frogs blocked a punt attempt from the Utah near the end of the quarter.

TCU scored on its opening possession, going 87 yards in eight plays to get a sellout crowd on its feet. But the Frogs offense stalled a bit after that and Utah scored midway through the quarter. The Utes got the ball in good field position - the TCU 43-yard line - following a bad punt. It was the first touchdown the Frogs allowed in their last three home games.

TCU came back with an 80-yard drive, helped by 20 yards of Utah penalties. Ryan Christian scampered down the sidelines for a 16-yard touchdown after catching a quick pass at the line of scrimmage.
