IRVING, Texas -- The University of Georgia is interested in Cowboys defensive line coach Todd Grantham to become its next defensive coordinator, according to a league source.
Grantham, who was unavailable for comment, has been with the Cowboys the past two seasons.
The last time Grantham coached in college was 1998, when he was defensive line coach at Michigan State. He also served a stint at Virginia Tech (1990-1995).
In the pros, Grantham was a defensive coordinator with Cleveland from 2005 to 2007 before he joined the Cowboys.
College programs don't need permission to speak to NFL coaches about potential employment.
