Kirilenko won't play in Game 2

Jazz forward Andrei Kirilenko will not play in Game 2 of Utah's Western Conference semifinal series against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night, coach Jerry Sloan said.
Sloan said the team wanted to make sure Kirilenko was as close to full strength as possible. Returning Kirilenko to the lineup for Game 3, after three off days, would make more sense, Sloan added.
Kirilenko hasn't played a full game since straining his left calf March 12, and he aggravated the injury last month.
Kirilenko, who had been listed as "50-50" for Game 2, went through a full practice on Monday and was active in Tuesday morning's shootaround. He said the issue is muscle strength rather than pain.
For the Lakers, coach Phil Jackson says center Andrew Bynum, who has a knee injury, will start Game 2. Jackson said he anticipates Bynum will play more than the 24 minutes he did in Game 1.
