Jerseys to be auctioned to raise funds
VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Olympic hockey jerseys from NHL stars are being auctioned on eBay to raise money for Haiti.
Jerseys from Canada's Sidney Crosby and Roberto Luongo will be among those sold the next seven days. Next week, U.S. jerseys from the likes of Ryan Miller and Patrick Kane go on sale for seven days.
The project is called Hockey for Haiti. In all, 140 jerseys will be offered, including Russia's Alex Ovechkin and Sweden's Henrik Sedin.
The NHL Players' Association has pledged $100,000 to the charity World Vision.
Hockey for Haiti is championed by former NHL player Georges Laraque. It will help World Vision build a clinic and reconstruct a children's hospital devastated by the January earthquake.
