Williams, Romo work hard to stop drops
By Calvin Watkins
GRAPEVINE, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Roy Williams vowed Wednesday that the eight dropped passes that plagued him in 2009 will not happen again next season.
"I bet anybody in this world I won't be close to that [in 2010]," said Williams, who was participating in the team's annual sponors' golf outing at Cowboys Golf Club on Wednesday.
Williams' eight drops ranked 12th in the NFL last season. As a team, the Cowboys dropped 32 passes. Because of that, Tony Romo was saddled with the fourth-most drops among NFL quarterbacks, according to STATS Inc.
Williams said he's catching 200 balls a week off the JUGS guns during workouts at Valley Ranch and about 40-50 passes a week from Romo.
