ESPN.com news services
NEW YORK -- Yankees right-hander David Robertson left New York's game against the Cleveland Indians with an injury after facing just three batters in the seventh inning.
Robertson suffered a mild lower back strain, according to multiple media reports.
Robertson relieved CC Sabathia to start the seventh and hit Trevor Crowe on the right hand with a pitch. After an out and a run-scoring single, Robertson threw one pitch to Jhonny Peralta and catcher Francisco Cervelli went to the mound. He was followed by pitching coach Dave Eiland, who motioned for manager Joe Girardi and a trainer.
Robertson was replaced by Sergio Mitre.
Earlier, Indians starter David Huff was hit in the head by a line drive and taken to a hospital. He had a CT scan that was negative. Huff remained in the hospital for several hours as a precaution.
