Texas Rangers general manager Jon Daniels honored his bet Thursday with shortstop Elvis Andrus and dyed his hair now that the team's winning streak has reached 10 games.

Daniels showed up with blonde streaks in his black hair prior to Thursday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

"I was hoping he'd forget, but no such luck," Daniels said in an ESPNDallas.com chat Thursday. "It's not going to be a good look."

Daniels said he was making fun of Andrus' bleached-blond hair while the club was in Milwaukee June 12. Andrus then asked how many wins it would take for Daniels to dye his own hair.

"I said 10, figuring the odds of that were pretty long," said Daniels, who added the club had just lost the previous night and hadn't started a winning streak yet. "Talk about putting one's foot in their mouth. I'm going to honor my word."

The Rangers went on to win that night to start what has now become a 10-game winning streak after Wednesday's 13-3 rout of the Pirates.

It is the team's longest winning streak since the Rangers won a team-record 14 in a row in 1991.

Texas is 3½ games in front of the Angels in the AL West.
