Hayward helps Jazz finish on winning note
ORLANDO -- The Utah Jazz must be very optimistic after a tremendous finish at the 2010 AirTran Airways Pro Summer League.
After a dominant victory over the New Jersey Nets on Thursday, the Jazz followed with another supreme effort on Friday -- crushing the Philadelphia 76ers, 85-56, to finish the week 3-2.
Gordon Hayward registered 14 points and shot a perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line for Utah, which limited Philadelphia to 34 percent shooting.
Jermareo Davidson racked up 16 points, Jeremy Evans contributed 12 points and Sundiata Gaines dished out five assists.
Marreese Speights and Jrue Holiday each sat out for the 76ers, while Kosta Koufos rested for Utah.
Evan Turner, who never found an effectual rhythm throughout the week, posted 13 points. The No. 2 pick in the 2010 NBA Draft will try to utilize this week's experience as a way to prepare for his rookie season.
