Took me by complete surprise

Last night was the sports world's annual Oscars -- The ESPYs -- and in an award show dominated by Tiger Woods jokes and the continued public stoning of the NBA's fallen hero, LeBron James, two snowboarding stars still managed to grab the spotlight.

Shaun White took home two honors: one for Best Male Action Sports Athlete and another for Best Male Olympic Athlete. Fellow Olympian, Australia's Torah Bright, earned Best Female Action Sports Athlete, although she was nicked in the Best Female Olympic Athlete category by some rollerblader named Lindsey Vonn.

And on a completely non-snowboarding-related note, if you haven't seen it yet, you should go to the ESPY site and watch the Steve Carell and Paul Rudd video, "The Decision." Why? Because it's funny. Isn't that reason enough?
