Fox Victory 360 Race Pant and Jersey ($210)
Fox Racing is always ahead of the curve when it comes to motocross fashion and the 2011 Victory 360 racewear is no exception.
Just like in any specialized market, there's always in industry standard, and in the motocross apparel market it's Fox Racing. Going strong for 18 years now, Fox has been developing cutting edge motocross gear for the masses by relying on their team's input, and staying on top of breakthrough technology and trends. The 360 racewear is their flagship line and has set the standard for the entire industry. Worn by FMX riders Adam Jones, Blake 'Bilko' Williams, Cam Sinclair, Dustin Miller, and now Travis Pastrana, Fox maintains an elite team to represent its stylish legacy.
WHAT IT IS:
Since riding in an old pair of stonewashed jeans and a stained tank top isn't an option (unless, of course, that's your style), proper riding gear is required to not only keep you protected and out of harm's way, but to ensure you don't look like a complete buffoon while hitting ramps or at the track. The featured Victory pant ($160) and jersey ($50) is Fox's latest colorway of their tried and true 360 line for 2011. The pant features a new 900D polyester main body for increased durability and airflow, pre-curved construction for a perfect fit in the "ride position," Active-Stretch double layer knee panels for unrestricted movement over knee guards and braces, and Fox's patent Fly-Cam waist closure system.
With a bit fewer bells and whistles than the pant, the 360 Victory jersey still features plenty of technology to ensure a great ride, like a polyester main body with mesh back panel to ensure airflow (which is vital for comfort), padded elbows, restriction-free cuff and neck, and a drop tail to ensure the jersey stays tucked into the pant. And if you've seen a goon ripping around your local track with his jersey flapping in the wind, you know just how important that can be.
WHY IT RULES:
Let's face it guys, the era of baggy pants is long gone. Even though they were cool once upon a time, nowadays if you show up to your local track rocking a pair of cow print LBZ pants, be prepared because you'll be hated on like Americans hate the Taliban. Fox Racing is the epitome of cool -- the crème de la crème of motocross gear -- and to rock anything but is just plain ridiculous.
WHERE TO FIND IT:
The Victory 360 pant and jersey -- and the entire 2011 Fox line for that matter -- is currently making its way into motorcycle dealers worldwide. Chances are your dealer carries Fox, so be sure to check in frequently until it hits the store shelves, or you can always go the cyber route. First and foremost, you can order the gear directly from FoxRacing.com, or purchase it from one of their trusted web dealers like LocoMX.com, which sometimes offer better pricing and package deals.
