Brandon Willis, the nation's No. 10 ranked defensive tackle recruit in the Class of 2010, has enrolled at UCLA.
The 6-foot-2, 270-pound Willis, from Duncan, S.C., had enrolled at North Carolina in January and played in the spring game April.
He reported to Chapel Hill for training camp on Aug. 5 and had been participating in practice before leaving UNC for California.
"Brandon Willis and his father informed us that he is going to withdraw from school," said UNC coach Butch Davis at the time of Willis' departure. "It's a sad situation. Brandon lost his mother less than a year ago and they've gone through some family hardships and some family difficulties. His father has been looking for employment and was informed yesterday that he was able to find a job."The unfortunate thing is he found a job in Southern California and he is really adamant about trying to keep his family together. He's asked both of his sons to join him in moving out there. ... Brandon is a good kid and we wish him the best."
Willis will have four seasons of eligibility starting in 2011. He will begin practicing with the Bruins on Monday.Bruce Feldman is a senior writer at ESPN The Magazine.
