Meyer also says there is no timetable for Rainey to possibly return to the team.
"It's just further evaluation as we go. As of the immediacy of it, he's not with us," Meyer said.
Rainey was suspended indefinitely Tuesday following his arrest. He was charged with aggravated stalking, a third-degree felony, for allegedly sending a on-again, off-again girlfriend a threatening text message.
Rainey has just six catches for 34 yards and a touchdown this season, and Meyer says his team can fill that void.
