HOUSTON -- After winning his eighth game since returning from the restricted list in early August, Chicago Cubs starter Carlos Zambrano said all the team needs in its lineup in 2011 is a big bat.

"If they want to do something with this team then we need another big hitter to protect [Aramis Ramirez] and [Marlon Byrd]," Zambrano said. "You know which one I'm talking about. I want [Adam Dunn] here. He wants to play for us. Not only this year but two years ago he told me that he wants to play at Wrigley Field badly. When you see a guy who wants to play for an organization and he wants to give everything he has for that organization. That says a lot. I want to see him next year here. If we can't sign him, then we can sign someone else."

Dunn is a free agent after the 2010 season. He is concluding a two-year, $20 million contract with the Washington Nationals.

Going into Saturday night's games Dunn was second in the National League with 38 homers. He also has posted 103 RBIs. Dunn ranks fifth in the National League in slugging with a .539 slugging percentage. On the negative side, he has 197 strikeouts in the season, the second most in the National League.
