Jonny Flynn cleared to start practicing
MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Jonny Flynn has been cleared to start practicing with the team for the first time since having hip surgery in July.
Flynn participated on a limited basis on Tuesday. There is still no timetable for when he will first play in a game.
The Timberwolves start the regular season on Wednesday night against the Sacramento Kings. Veteran Luke Ridnour will start while Flynn works his way back.
Flynn averaged 13.5 points and 4.4 assists as a rookie but injured his left hip in the second-to-last game of the season.
