Source: RB Pierre Thomas tore tendon
By Adam Schefter
There's a reason Saints running back Pierre Thomas has missed as much time as he has with a high ankle sprain.
Thomas tore a tendon in his ankle and in hindsight might have been better served had he undergone surgery to correct it, according to a league source.
Thomas is not expected to play Sunday against Seattle, either, but he has not ruled out the chance he could be ready for a Thanksgiving Day game against the Dallas Cowboys.
Thomas has not played since the third week of the season and has missed the Saints' past six games.
