Usually, this time of year is pretty quiet on the contest scene, and with good reason. I don't know anyone that wants to ride in the cold or spend time in the airports around the holidays. But come the new year, when everything quiets down and nomadic pros tire of staying in one place, the traditional pilgrimage is made to Tallinn, Estonia for Simpel Session. And that tradition is returning for 2011.
On the weekend of Feb. 5-6, the 11th annual Simpel Session returns. And preparations are already underway. In BMX, top pros such as Garrett Reynolds, Bruno Hoffmann, Kevin Kiraly and Ben Wallace have already confirmed their spots, and that list will grow to include about 75-100 top pros from across the world.
Simpel Session 11 will also serve as one of the first highlight events of the Tallinn European Capital of Culture 2011 program, meaning it will include a week of side events such as film screenings, photo exhibits and more starting on February 2.
For rider lists, the latest news and course updates, check the new Simpel Session site and friend them on Facebook. And for a teaser video with bro-hugs galore, check the new Simpel Session video here.
