Julius Peppers, Jay Cutler earn awards
Chicago Bears defensive end Julius Peppers was named NFC Defensive Player of the Month, and quarterback Jay Cutler earned NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Peppers had four sacks in November, tied for second in the NFL. He also had 13 tackles, deflected a pass that led to an interception and had two other tackles for losses.
He was part of a Bears defensive unit that yielded just 65 yards rushing in November and held quarterbacks to a 69.5 rating, both numbers were the lowest in the NFL.
Cutler went 14-of-21 for 247 yards and four touchdowns in a 31-26 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. He had a career-high 146.2 passer rating.
