Rich Seubert underwent surgery to repair a dislocated kneecap on Tuesday.

According to the New York Giants, the veteran offensive lineman faces a long rehab. The offensive guard suffered the injury, along with some ligament and tendon damage, according to the team, during the first half of the Giants' 17-14 win over the Redskins on Sunday.

Seubert was the glue of the team's offensive line as he started all 16 games, including seven at center in place of the injured Shaun O'Hara.

"I really feel bad for Richie because really to me he is the MVP of the team," general manager Jerry Reese said of the injury. "I feel bad for how he went down because he really kind of saved it for us along with everybody else. Everybody was in it together, but Richie has really held that offensive line together for the most part."
