NBA: Talk about a marquee matchup! The NBA-best Spurs finish off their nine-game rodeo road trip with a visit to the ballin' Chicago Bulls. The Bulls' 19-6 mark since Dec. 26 is bested only by the Spurs' 21-5 mark in that stretch. Derrick Rose and company have won nine of their last 11, 15 of their last 16 at home and hope to take a four-game win streak into the All Star break, but they'll certainly have their hands full with San Antonio. ... The Mavs look to win their 13th game in 14 tries tonight when they visit the Suns. Dallas has won five of the teams' last six meetings, averaging a robust 113.8 points on 50.1 percent shooting in those contests.
Men's college basketball: Arizona's Derrick Williams leads the Pac-10 in field goal percentage at 63.7 percent and ranks second in scoring with 19.2 points per game. He'll look to lead his 13th-ranked Wildcats over the Washington State Cougars for the second time this year. Arizona's 10-2 record in conference play has them tops in the Pac-10. ... The No. 25 Temple Owls are the only other ranked team in action tonight, they host the Richmond Spiders. The Spiders bring a eight-game road win streak into the contest (and a totally badass logo, too), but Temple has been outstanding at home, winning its last 19 straight at the Liacouras Center.
Women's college basketball: Eight of the country's Top-25 women's teams are in action tonight, including three conference leaders. The 24-2 Tennessee Vols host the South Carolina Gamecocks, looking to stay perfect in conference play. ... A big-time matchup in Maryland, as the seventh-ranked Duke Blue Devils try to stay on top of the ACC. They face a 17th-ranked Terrapins team that has dropped two straight games, both to conference opponents. ... Big Ten leaders, the 10th-ranked Michigan State Spartans, host the Northwestern Wildcats tonight. The Cats have lost six of their last eight games and are just 5-8 against conference opponents this season.
NHL: The Kings can match a franchise record of 11 consecutive games with at least one point if they can top the Rangers tonight. New York snapped a six-game losing skid with a win Sunday, they'll try to get back-to-back wins for the first time since Jan. 22-24. ... The Capitals will look to snap a 17-year drought tonight when they seek their first win in San Jose in nearly two decades. After a six-game slide in January, the Sharks have bounced back with an outstanding 10-2-1 stretch. ... Two division leaders meet in the Red Wings and the Lightning tonight at St. Pete Times Forum. Tampa Bay is on a roll, posting a 8-2-1 record since mid-January, but they haven't beaten the Wings since 2003.
