Brandon Roy returns from surgery
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Portland Trail Blazers guard Brandon Roy returned from injury Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Lakers.
The three-time All-Star had not played since Dec. 15 because of soreness in both knees. He underwent arthroscopic surgery on both on Jan. 17.
Coach Nate McMillan says that initially Roy will be limited to 15 minutes per game, coming off the bench. He will not play in back-to-back games.
Roy came in with 2:21 to go in the first quarter to a standing ovation from the sellout crowd at the Rose Garden.
He is averaging 16.6 points in 23 games this season.
